Welcome back to another "Foreign Students Interview" Post!📷🎤
We still have some information about the interview of "Life in Japan as muslims", but from this time we would like to focus more on the obstacles/troubles of life in Japan as foreigners.
ーPlease tell me the information that international students should have known beforehand.

Fira:
We should have known more about the mobile service systems here. In Japan, it is common to contract with mobile company such as Docomo(the most popular one), but I found out that their service is so expensive📷😭 I should have bought sim-free phone or just use my old phone with data-plus like Y-mobile/U-mobile (¥2,000/month up to 3G). It is cheaper than the mobile phone contract. However, this may be a special scenario because I did not have a credit card at the time and I wanted a phone that was not the newest on the market (6s). If you want a newer phone, it may be cheaper to go with the data and phone bundle contract by one of the big companies (docomo, softbank or au), but please be sure to weigh your options and properly calculate which will be cheaper before you sign a 2-year contract. Nurul:
One of my Indonesian seniors in the same campus said that he pays ¥2,500/month and the data is unlimited. Another Indonesian seniors who can speak Japanese knows more about the mobile service that is useful for foreigners like us.
