Halal Services in University of Tokyo

Welcome back to another "Muslim Friendly Service" Post! by our member, Yui.

Good evening~ We had already shown the prayers` room in our campus on the movie (SFC, Keio University), but how about others?🤔🤔🤔 This time we visited the main campus of Tokyo Daigaku (University of Tokyo) to see the conditions for Muslims.☪️☪️

There are approximately 175 students studying from Islamic areas such as Southeast Asia there, and there is a “Halal Corner” in the food grocery. You can buy several food products and snacks which have already got halal certifications from Indonesia / Singapore / Malaysia / Australia. Besides, there are some halal dishes in the 2nd cafeteria and a Wudu on the upper floor, too !!

Even though there still remains some defects (There seems to be no Mashallah in the campus), we think the office is trying to take some treatments for Muslim student compared to us.(We don`t have any halal corner and halal dishes….)
